Frequently Asked Questions
Why do people come to North East Exercise Solutions instead of going to the gym or physiotherapy?
People come to North East Exercise Solutions for a great range of reasons from pain, health conditions or general health and fitness. Many people find attending private or group sessions provides accountability to maintain an exercise routine. People enjoy the welcoming and supportive environment, social connection and tailored approach to exercise. Our services suit those who do not wish to attend a gym or do not need ongoing physiotherapy treatment.
What do I bring?
We ask our clients to bring a towel, your own water and fresh socks. Wear comfortable clothes, enclosed shoes and a smile. If you have recent, relevant scans or a referral, bring that along with you.
I'm not feeling very confident in myself after surgery/injury/cancer/recent diagnosis, can I see you one-on-one?
Of course you can! We don’t just do group sessions.
We guarantee to provide a welcoming environment and you will always be treated with respect.
We guarantee to offer you a personalised plan based on our professional reasoning and your information.
When you 100% commit to your plan as intended, we guarantee that you will benefit.
I have a private health fund, how do I know I can claim?
Ask your private health fund about your level of cover for Exercise Physiology. The item code to quote is 102 for the initial consultation, 202 for private consultations and 502 for group services.
I'm not sure I can afford to make a booking, what funding or rebate options do I have?
We accept
- Medicare referral (Chronic disease management plan and Group services for people with Type 2 Diabetes)
- DVA
- My Aged Care
- Short Term Restorative Care
- NDIS
- Private health funds
How many people in a group?
Group sizes can vary and are often under six. We like to work in small group sizes so we can keep a close eye on class participants to ensure exercises are appropriate and performed correctly.
I don't have a referral, can I still come?
Yes, of course. We have many people attend North East Exercise Solutions without a referral.
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a method of exercise that is based on the fundamental principles of concentration, centering, control and breathing. At North East Exercise Solutions, we tailor every exercise program for the needs and abilities of each client and teach exercise technique based on these principles. We use Pilates equipment such as springs, reformers and trapeze tables in creative ways to design an exclusive program for each person.
