JOHN IS HAPPY!

John has Parkinson’s Disease and attends exercise sessions twice a week with the Exercise Physiologist and Therapy Assistant to help him move better and maintain his strength. The Exercise Physiologist has customised an exercise program based on the latest research about specific exercise for Parkinson’s Disease and the Therapy Assistant facilitates this program with John. His favourite exercise is the boxing.  Afterwards, John has a coffee with his wife in the park.

BELINDA IS MORE CONFIDENT!

Belinda loves coming to her exercise group to see her friends. While her Asperger’s autism makes socialising difficult, she feels safe to talk to other participants in her exercise class and this makes her feel more confident and she is starting to feel that she will be able to achieve her goal of getting a job.

BRIAN FEELS STRONG!

Brian loves his strength training sessions with Chris, the Therapy Assistant. He is getting stronger and enjoys seeing his muscles grow. His is more energetic now and is able to help around the house more. Being stronger helps him as Down’s Syndrome can cause muscles to become weaker.

JANE IS IN CONTROL!

Despite the unpredictable symptoms of multiple sclerosis, Jane is able to maintain her strength and mobility by attending exercise sessions with her Exercise Physiologist. She has noticed that she has more energy and the stiffness in her legs eases after class. She always feels better after a workout.
